Collected Works of The Boy Wonder 1966 to 1968
The Batman TV show, first broadcast in 1966, was stylish, brash and very corny but these were amongst its most endearing qualities as far as the viewers were concerned.
The script writers delivered ridiculously far fetched and increasingly abstract story lines but also managed to entertain and educate. The three series, up until 1968 when the show was abandoned because of a collapse in ratings, established many catchphrases, most notably those spoken by the Boy Wonder, Robin, the alter ego of the rather nice but dim Dick Grayson.
In true Robin style, put on tights, your pants over the top and cape, clasp your fist in the palm of your hand, look a bit righteously agitated and hop from one foot to the other as though needing the toilet simultaneously muttering the following......
