Uri Geller Reverse Civil Engineering

In the summer of 2012 the cracks began to appear in the Trans Pennine Way on its skirting of the Humber Estuary between Hessle and North Ferriby. My son was one of the first casualties of the landslip after his bike wheel was wrestled out of his control by the largest of the fissures.

By the following January of 2013 the slip had progressed very dramatically causing the embankment of the main Hull to Selby to split and fall away and the steel shuttering onto the riverbank to warp and roll. The frequently used by-way was closed for major repairs for some considerable time.

Revisited in May 2014 the scale of remedial works can be seen and the route is now passable once again reinstating a picturesque segment of the 200 plus miles traverse of the country from east to west coast.
